I am fairly new to home automation. I am planning to build an energy efficient home and was wondering if it would be possible to automatically open/close windows based on set criterias such as outside temp/humidity/wind ?
Obviously the biggest issue is the mechanics of physically opening a window. I'm not sure of any off the shelf products like this for regular windows. I think it is fairly common to be able to have a motorized open/close on a skylight, but I'm not sure about a window.
