Wireless camera in remote area?

Wondering what could be done for a wireless camera for security in an area far from electricity. Power could be solar panel or battery? This is maybe 2500 feet from power. I suppose I could run a multiconductor cable with power and signal but that could be cut. This would be in a remote area so vandalism is possible. Could mount high in a tree to prevent that and help get radio signals out. Probably not practical but thought I would thow this out for ideas. Covert would be best, like hidden in a tree stump but placing it in the first place could be difficult. Game cameras might work...

Perhaps just fly unmanned drones over the area like the military? LOL

I did a review on a camera that was solar powered and wireless technology of some kind. It even had a battery and it was all "built in" to a camera housing. I just can't find it and I know it was a CES or ISC West update report!

Pretty expensive but seems to do the job. If you google "wireless game camera" you will find a lot of other options.

For game cameras, you will pay extra $$$ to get a quick reaction speed. This camera will take a picture 0.2 seconds after it senses motion. The cheaper cameras are more than 1.0 seconds. It depends on how fast your subject is moving.
