Long time researcher on these topics...
And I am looking for a security solution....
Eventually I plan on using the ISY module to remove the PC requirements, if I can interface with X10.
But in the meantime, Homelinc looks fine....
Initial Goal--
Motion sensors and door sensors with email/SMS alerts.
Final Goal--
Motion, sound, door, window,temperature and water/humidity sensors with email/SMS and voice call out alerts.
My issues--
1. I have several disparate X10 motion window sensors that I want to use
2. I have not seen a software I really like for X10.. Suggestion?
3. Will The X10 sensors work good and interoperate-- I've seen answers pointing both ways...
4. Range-- The home is 50 x 70 with a basement-- I think wireless is shorter than this.
What do yall think?
