X10 DS10A Wire Gauge? Door Sensors?

Hi,

I am looking to put a DS10A on a sliding glass door. The only issue is my roof makes it hard to run the wires. The only plus side of getting my roof redone is I will have access this week to the walls.

So, what gauge wire is the correct gauge for the X10 DS10 Door sensor?

you should be able to use any gauge, but I would just use standard security wiring.

Is that 20 gauge? I am going to get to Homey D's for probably 2/20 or 2/22?

Security wiring is 22 gauge. Either 22/2 or 22/4, 2 is used for contact and 4 is used for a powered device like a motion detector - 2 for zone, 2 for power. Some people just use 22/4 for everything to simplify.
