I have Casablanca with Intellitouch controllers (I think they are called) that control the fan's speed, direction, and light from the wall, but only run two wires (I believe) to the fan itself. Any joy for folks like me?
I used an XPFM to switch the motors and an XPDF to control the light kits then put a XPT and faceplate on the wall. I didn't get a bunch of choice having only 1 switch and 3 conductors between the switch and load. Well I wanted independent control of the motor and lights... I'm very pleased with it and have converted all my fans to this method. As a bonus this basically makes X-10 operate as 2 way so HAL and my Ocelot also see any changes to the fan motor or lights and can further act apon them.
