I hope so, I have no problem with doing the rebuild on the new unit, but once its rebuilt, the new configuration would need to be copied to the Elk-M1XZW. I posted a similar post on the HS board this morning hoping to hear how to copy information to a seconday controller but haven't had any response yet. There information on the description of the Z-Troller talks about using a button in HomeSeer to "copy" to a secondary device. If you disconnect it for the PC/HS, I really don't think the button in HS will still function. There needs to be a "Copy" function on the Z-Troller itself and I'm hoping HST will clarify this for us.mbreeden said:Pod:
I think what he is saying is once you rebuild your network w/the troller (New Primary) you would walk over and copy it. The unit operates on Batterys as well a plugin power. This also works when adding new devices to your house. You would disconnect it from the PC/HS and learn the new devices and then reattach and sync w/HS.
I am not 100% positive about that but I guess Mark or Rupp could confirm
