Z Wave dry contact input/output module recommendations

I have decided to bail on insteon/X-10 and go all in on zwave. I have a driveway probe that triggers a dry contact closure to a X-10 address for chime modules and another for all exterior lights on. I need to find some zwave relay inputs and outputs. Also looking into Vera lite too. Any ideas?

As far as z-wave dry contact sensors, it looks as if we're stuck with using a "window/door switch" type module either with a separate "dry contact" connection (or a fairly simple hack to disconnect the reed switch and make bring out an external contact connection).

Aeon Labs has been promising a multiple "Dry Contact" module for quite a while now. Looks like they've undergone a name change and are again promising such a module (with extra I/Os) for this year...promises, promises...I'll believe it when I see them actually selling one (and hopefully something we can reasonably afford).

The Vera Lite looks interesting and not horribly priced for me as well, to replace a 24/7 running PC and Homeseer Basic (which apparently Homeseer "disappeared" and now rests in "a shallow grave in the desert" somewhere...).

Here's the link for "Aeotech" and their 2012 CES blurb.

I can't comment on a good z-wave contact sensor (I use either ds10a or DSC security devices for that), but I am very happy with my Vera 2. The Vera Lite is a bit better (twice the ram) and cheaper than the Vera 2 was which is nice as well.

I have to agree with you on your Aeon Labs/Aeotech comment. They have an impressive looking set of products at these CES shows, but none seem to come to fruition!

They stated that they are coming out with over 20 new products in 2012! :o Well, they better hurry as the first quarter is over and they don't even have a web site up yet! :nutz:
