Z-Wave Lock Support

Please don't go around spreading unverified rumors...

Please don't tell anyone that HAI released firmware and PC Access version 3.10 today.

Please don't tell anyone that version 3.10 adds ZigBee and Z-Wave lock support and that they can get this free upgrade just by checking for updates in PC Access.

Please don't tell anyone that you also need firmware version 14.16 or higher in your ZIM and that the free ZigBee updater can found at:
This is TOP SECRET!!!

Do have a nice day! ;)

Well then I won't tell anyone that I downloaded the PC access and firmware today.

Will HAI be providing some documentation as to what Lock Support includes?
Can OmniPro II:
1) Lock and unlock?
2) Sense when the locks are unlocked with a key or using the keypad?
3) Will it sense the battery status? or report when batteries are low?
4) Will the OmniPro or PCaccess be able to add/delete/modify the locks user codes?

Sorry for all the questions but I am excited about the support.
Also, I am impressed with the speed at which you added the new feature. Verifies why I went with HAI OmniPro II as my controller.
Thanks,
:)

Documentation should be in the Knowledge Base. (http://kb.homeauto.com)

2) Sense when the locks are unlocked with a key or using the keypad? Yes, the controller tracks locked/unlocked status.

3) Will it sense the battery status? or report when batteries are low? Not at this time.

4) Will the OmniPro or PCaccess be able to add/delete/modify the locks user codes? Not at this time.

Are there any plans to add support for reporting events such as battery warnings and lock/unlock status by key/knob/RF?

Got my ZIM and just waiting for the Kwikset Zigbee lock to show up. Hopefully I'll have this running in a week or so.

Got my Kwikset Zigbee deadbolt installed and the ZIM all setup with the OmniPro II. Everything is working great!

I already have my wife annoyed though because I programmed it so that when you close the front door, the OPII sends a lock command to the deadbolt. She's not real happy about that, but it solves my problem of the wife and kids leaving without locking the door.

Excellent! I have the same problem except mine is I just recently replaced the weather stripping and it was too hard to pull the door and turn the key at the same time so why bother locking it? Unreal.

How far from the zim is the lock?
