ZDW120 can't dim low voltage????

So I was getting ready to pop for a bunch of 120s, but called homeseer to double check applications and such. The guy I spoke with said that the 120 won't work on a 120 v to 12 v transformer for low voltage lighting.

This can't be right? Insteon dimmers even work on these.

This device draws current through the load to keep itself operating. I believe the minimum load required is 40 watts, incandescent. I guess the tech did not figure that the transformer would be able to keep the switch powered. There are Z-Wave devices that require a neutral connection and are not slave to the minimum load requirement. You would need to do a little research to find out what the part numbers are.
