Z-Wave, which enables consumers to monitor and manage their lighting, security systems, media centers and other home products easily, conveniently and securely from anywhere in the world, was named “Best of CES†due to the large number of companies currently developing Z-Wave-enabled products as well as its ease of installation, interference-free design and low cost.

More than 125 companies, including Intermatic, Leviton, UEI, Logitech and Monster, are developing Z-Wave-enabled products and are members of the Z-Wave Alliance, a consortium of leaders in the home technology space dedicated to solidifying Z-Wave as the standard for wireless home control products. There are now more than 150 Z-Wave-enabled products on the market with another 150 expected in 2006.

“We are proud to accept the “Best of CES†award, as it is an important validation of Z-Wave as the industry’s leading home control technology,†said Per Nathanaelson, Zensys’ President and CEO. “In the coming year, not only will Z-Wave be integrated into even more home products such as lights, garage doors, appliances, shades & blinds and home entertainment products, but also into remote controls, routers, satellite radios and tablet PCs, giving consumers in all types of environments the ability to experience the convenience and security of home control.â€

“By winning a CNET Best of CES Award, Zensys sets a standard within their sector for others to follow,†said Brian Cooley, editor at large at CNET.com. “Each year at CES, CNET scours the show floor to bring extensive coverage to our passionate community of consumers, who look to our editors for the best new products at the show, and Z-Wave is without doubt one of the hottest technologies at CES 2006.â€

Zensys’ “Best of CES†award is its fourth major recognition in the past three months. In the past quarter, Z-Wave has been named a Consumer Electronics Show (CES) Innovations 2006 Design and Engineering Award honoree, a Best Enabling Technology of the Year by the Continental Automated Buildings Association (CABA) and a 2005 Product of the Year by Electronic House magazine.
