Email alerts by C1M1?

New system (and this is my first Elk)...
 
I see some documentation for sending email alerts via the M1XEP but nothing about doing that with the C1M1.  I purchased both M1XEP and the C1M1 but wasn't sure if both could coexist in the same system.
 
Also not sure where to actually enter the "message text" in the system.

The C1M1 is really a professional product as I understand and has limited DIY functionality. Search here and you’ll see others have had problems getting it setup. Use the M1XEP for Ethernet.

Yes it was a challenge but I wanted cellular monitoring. If I were to get a serial port expander would I then be able to use the m1xep for Ethernet/app/etc communications but keep the C1M1 for monitoring?

Did you ever get an answer to your question?

I'm at the same point. Have C1M1 but not M1XEP. I assume the C1M1 doesn't support custom emails? I would add the M1XEP if I knew both could exist in the same configuration.
