I have a HAI Omni II with two hardwire expanders. I had some issues with one of my thermostats this weekend so I removed both expanders to troubleshoot the wiring. Once I got my thermostat working correctly, I put the expanders back on the board and booted it up. Both expanders are not showing. I tried changing the jumper cables as well as switching the expander numbers from 1 to 2 and vice versa with no luck. I verified my settings from both PC Dealer Access as well as a console. Both the first and second expanders are configured as hardwired expanders. They are numbered correctly. EOL zone resistors are installed and this is set to yes in Dealer access.
What's weird is there are no errors on the system that I can tell. The zones are configured in PC Access and appear to be there. I can see them from a controller. The all show a secure status and are currently secure. However, none of them are showing loop numbers. On the working zones 1-16, I see 147 and 148, but all the zones on the expanders are showing 0.
I tried to power off the system for an hour to see if it would reset. I'm about out of options at this point as I have tried two jumper cables and two expanders as the first and neither will register. I'm concerned that I may have fried something on the board somehow. I noticed a couple of jumper pins on the board and an option to reset eeprom from the controller but I haven't been able to find any related documentation. Is there some way to reset the board or reset the expansion pins? Any other suggestions for what I might try?
