Nest Smoke Detector Compatibility

With the protect sales halted and the NFPA updating building codes to require smoke protectors to be replaced every 10 years, when I sell my home I would rather install a bunch of $8 smokes made in China than nest protects at $129 each.

NFPA only mandates replacement if the sensitivity of the unit can't be field metered.
