My name is Michael.  I have been a user of a X-10 system for many years.  It is too sensitive to line noise and I am thinking of switching to Insteon.  I have simple needs: two wall switches and six plug in lamp modules.  I want a system that does not need my PC to be on 24/7 and has the capability to know dusk and sunrise and daylight savings time.  Is there a document on this forum that I can download to get me going.

There is a wiring 101 document on the forum.  I do not know of an Insteon document here on the forum relating to automation.
 
That said; ask about what it is you want to do with Insteon above.

Here I use two Leviton HAI Omnipro II's.
 
Many folks here also utilize the Elk M1 panels.
 
Note that these are combination security and automation panels.
