    Unable to connect to network

While on vacation this summer, while working initially, my Omni Pro II lost connection to the network and I haven't been able to connect since.   Here are the things I've tried that were unsuccessful:   Changing the IP address in both the console, router, and PC access. Swapping ethernet cables...

UPStart Control working, but not OmniPro Control

Awesome!  That was it!  I do have 2 PIMs but I swapped them to test at one point.  Something else like the UPB password must have been wrong at that point, but even after fixing that, swapping the PIMs must have caused a different problem with the same symptoms.   Thanks Jon!  I would have...

UPStart Control working, but not OmniPro Control

I've tried setting all the switches to UPB mode in PCAccess, but it doesn't seem to make a difference.   How does one typically setup an HLC Switch?  Can't find instructions for that either.

UPStart Control working, but not OmniPro Control

]A bunch of my HLC switches weren't working so I decided to "rebuild" my UPB Network.  I've gotten them all setup again with UPStart but they can't be controlled with my Omni Pro II.   I was careful to match the UPB UID with the Unit# in PC Access (See 1st Attached Shot).  This Knowledge...

[Article] Thread - a new networking protocol to unite the IoT initiated by Nest, ARM, and Samsung an

It's actually pretty difficult for someone to write an app that can be controlled by Siri.  iOS doesn't have a generic API to get Siri command in an app.  A deve could do his own voice control but it would only work if you had the app open.  (Devs have done some hack solutions where you ask Siri...

Haiku Haiku 4.0 sneak peek and a few details...

indeed home kit support would be nice as it would allow you to use Siri to control devices.  However, I think this would require HAI/Leviton to create Made For iPhone bridge device that the HomeKit server on your iPhone/iPad can communicate with.

Haiku HaikuHelper features and demo videos

Thanks for the detailed responses. They cleared up a few questions. As I mentioned, I don't have a HAI system yet. So, it's hard for me to imagine what a HAI controller, or any of its auxiliary apps like Haiku, can do without having a HAI controller in my hands. The nullriver website it...

Haiku HaikuHelper features and demo videos

I'm in the process of a remodel and will have a HAI OmniPro II installed in the process. I'm excited to see to see HaikuHelper is becoming increasingly packed with features. It's pretty key for me to be able to control my automation system via a Mac (I work as a Software Engineer at Apple, so...

Setting up Home Automation and Getting a HAI installer

Just wanted to give folks an update on how my home automation system design is going... Although I think I'd probably be able to setup a HAI system myself given enough time, I decided that I'm probably no going to have time to do it the while walls are open during my remodel. I want to make...

    Qmotion Shades any experience

I've been shopping for remote controlled shades for my remodel. I just saw one of these at a showroom and it was pretty slick. I'll probably go with Somfy RTS shades for most window. But I think these Qmotion shades would be great for doors with windows since they're battery operated. My...

Setting up Home Automation and Getting a HAI installer

I'm not planning on hiring a company for alarm monitoring. I'm hoping to just monitor it myself from my mobile phone. But you're saying I still need some connection besides internet to reliably monitor my home. Do you just use an extra mobile line added to your family plan to connect your...

Setting up Home Automation and Getting a HAI installer

A couple other questions: I do plan on using a PC with the system. I'm actually a Mac guy so I'll probably buy something like a homeseer hometroller. Anyone with experience integrating such system. Homeseer has a plugin for the Omni system, but the manual is pretty low level. What about a...

Setting up Home Automation and Getting a HAI installer

Thanks comutt! Very helpful Got a couple questions I definitely plan on having a network and probably structured cable with cat6 to an enclosure. However, I'm not planning on installing a phone line (I just use my mobile phone these days). Do I really need an actual phone line and phone...

Setting up Home Automation and Getting a HAI installer

I guess I missed the "You are a Self-Installer" on the "How to Buy" page :) Any particularly good resources on how to get started with an install?

Setting up Home Automation and Getting a HAI installer

Hi All, I'm doing a complete remodel of my home (basically rebuilding it) and with it I'm starting my foray into home automation. I'm thinking of using a system like a Homeseer Hometroller or Mi Casa Verde's Vera 2 as the primary automation controller. Mainly so I can program scene, check...
