As noted, there are a lot of us in the same pathetic bandwidth ox cart. Here in rural Montana we are slowly going over to radio towers. Coverage is spotty but I'm hoping it will improve.
Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm hoping HS3's architecture allows it to be as stable as HS1 was.
As far as alternatives, there seem to be a few but they don't appear to have the community of support that HomeSeer does.

I haven't seen CQC, but the author seems to be quite in the loop. I like HomeSeer a lot, and like Rupp, a long time user.
