Thanks, that's what my understanding was.   Would it be unreasonable to have the multi scene switch to be placed at the three different points where the 3-way/4-ways were originally located? Also what would be your suggestion on those type of switches since they wouldn't be carrying the load...

Good to hear Yamahas are pretty good. I'm looking at the Yamaha RX-A820 7.2 Channel (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=82-115-393&ParentOnly=1&IsVirtualParent=1) as my AV receiver.   Do you know if there is a good driver for that?
