    Uplink 5500M connections

Turns out my alarm guy said he was wrong to recommend the 5500M. Replaced it with a 5530M and all is good (connects to top and ring).

    Uplink 5500M connections

Thanks. I have the app running but there's nothing about the inputs. My alarm guy says Uplink doesn't have much info either. I'll report back for the benefit of anyone else on the bleeding edge.

    Uplink 5500M connections

I'm trying to connect an Uplink 5500M that has four digital inputs, each marked: (pull-up to VDC). The default configuration is: IN1 General Alarm - Zone 251 IN2 General Alarm - Zone 252 IN3 General Alarm - Zone 253 IN4 General Alarm - Zone 254 I'm replacing a 4530EX and I would appreciate...

Wiring a switch to Elk M1 input

Thanks wuench, I think we have the same stack - CQC, ELK, unRaid, HASS, Blue Iris, Tasmota, ESPhome. Every time I look for help, you seem to have the answer.

    M1G Common Negative Quick Question

In this picture, A is the negative coming out of my Auxilliary power supply. B is the 485 Data bus. And C is the AC "negative" going into the M1G.    Am I supposed to connect A to B? If not, to what exactly should I connect A so that I have a common negative?    What about C?   Thanks, Richard

ELK M1 Gold integration with Home Assistant (hassio)

MQTT is great. I recommend you install the separate Mosquito MQTT broker. I'm using Hassio (hosted on unRaid) with Configurator / Duck DNS / Mosquitto Broker / and Node RED. I tried going the separate route, but I'm kind of a Geranimals guy, and Hassio just worked better for me.   When you add...

ELK M1 Gold integration with Home Assistant (hassio)

I recently connected Home Assistant to my M1G and it's awesome. Ask if you still have questions.

Simple question about Entry during Stay

Mike, I believe you are describing exit delay. Entry delay means if it is been fully armed and an armed zone is then violated, you have x seconds to turn of the alarm before it triggers. That all works for me, but I am not getting Entry Delay announcements in Armed Stay as I would if it were...

Simple question about Entry during Stay

When I'm armed Away, I get entry delay announcements through Out1.    When I'm armed Stay, I don't get entry delay announcements through Out1.   I've searched RP2 and can't find a setting for that. Am I missing it or how would I add it with rules?     Thanks, Richard

    Elk M1 vs Bosch G-series?

FWIW, I think the whole industry is "disrupted." When I built my house ten years ago, there was tons of activity about Elk, Homeseer, CQC, HTPCs, and $1,000 touch screens.   Now we have cheap screens (that we often carry around) and apps for your doorbell, thermostat, music, sprinkler, etc. Plus...

    What is wrong with CQC?

That's a nice way to say that Elk rules are to a bicycle what CQC rules are to a car (or insert preferred order of magnitude analogy here).

    What is wrong with CQC?

I'm running CQC on a VM hosted by my NAS system. No problem. You could probably run it fine on a cheap headless Brix or equivalent.    Mine "talks" to my ELK system (ethernet), the web (http trigger), my IR system (iTach IP2IR), my Centralite system (serial cable to zigbee interface), my matrix...

    What is wrong with CQC?

I use some obscure stuff and I have never seen HA drivers except in CQC. e.g: Avatrix Matrix Switcher Centralite Jetstream

    What is wrong with CQC?

Irule is a user interface (last time I looked). CQC can be used as a user interface (although I don't use it for that), For media interfaces, it's hard to beat iHeartRadio, or Emby, or Roku, etc.    For me, CQC is the ultimate If-This-Then-That, which is instant, reliable, and capable of...

    What is wrong with CQC?

Thanks for the update. And I believe it was not a vote, but my post 39 minutes before yours that resurrected the thread.
