    Problem with GMX mail..

Maybe I need a special type of Google account. Not sure, after trying about a dozen different setups, I gave up and went to bed.. Have been too busy on other stuff, and didn't get back to this email problem yet. I'm hoping someone else has already run into this and solved it.. Maybe they will...

Yeah, that's what I figured.. Hoping it wasn't true.. Maybe I can use other methods to signal me when there's a problem..

    Problem with GMX mail..

It's been working for a long time, and pressing Test tonight didn't work for me. Nothing showed up at the target addresses.. Not sure if they changed something at GMX or if something has changed with my home network..   Anyone else having a Notify fail?    Thanks, Rich

Amazon Echo Dot read outdoor temperature of CAI sensor?

Yeah, I've been using that function. I did notice there wasn't any relative humidity. Plus, I need the data in a program usable format.. Example: I need to know what the temp and RH is outside my house, before turning on basement ventilation fans.. That way, I could avoid bringing damp air or...

Amazon Echo Dot read outdoor temperature of CAI sensor?

I'm just starting out, and have not looked at the limitations of the IFTTT scripts yet.   Since I have some good temperature and humidity sensors on my CAI board, I would like to use that data to control not only my X10 switches using PLC, But also use it to control other things like my IR...

Amazon Echo Dot read outdoor temperature of CAI sensor?

That ISY994i seems to be a bit expensive.. But it would be nice to be able to ask for the outside temperature and get a voice reply..  There is a lot of info on the ISY994i, so I'm going to read up on it..  Thanks for posting.

Amazon Echo Dot read outdoor temperature of CAI sensor?

There was an Echo Dot under the tree for me this Christmas! I've been thinking about getting an IR/RF blaster, so I can (try to) talk to various devices.. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GIXZDKO Since this blaster is not IFTTT friendly, my second choice is: http://www.hooksmarthome.com/       I...

Very Cheap TED 1001 House Power Monitors (and possible hacking)

People are still messing around with the "L" Ebay models..   http://www.mtspencer.com/2014/08/10/energy-monitor/   I should be able to solve my problem by adding a cap to one of my transmitters, to shift into into a faster or slower clock rate, so that the synced-up time window will be shorter...

Very Cheap TED 1001 House Power Monitors (and possible hacking)

The first TED 1001 sytem that I got many years ago, came with software and the USB port was actvie. (I used the FootPrints program). These new Ebay-dump TEDs look like the same unit, but their USB ports don't do anything. They are not active. (IIRC).   I think that software at your link, might...

Very Cheap TED 1001 House Power Monitors (and possible hacking)

I'm still running both of my RDUs on a clean (flitered) 120AC line. Every once in a while they lockup when their signals get synced up..   I'm still looking for a wiring diagram of the MTU, so I can hack the timing of the transmitters.

    PowerMax+ X-10 SH10A powerhorn problem

I installed a PowerMax+ system for my kid and now she says the X10 Powerhorns (SH10A) don't work anymore. The SH10A horns stopped sounding, about a year after the install. (The system is about 4 years old). They should be going off, whenever the main horn (outdoors) goes off.   I tested them...

    CAI WebControl Logger [Software]

I'm still using Windows 7 and liking it.   My experience working with Windows 8 on a notebook PC wasn't good. (PC that I purchased as a gift). If I decide to buy a new PC for my own use, I will not be buying anything with Win 8.. XP would be more preferable.   Cheers, Rich

Very Cheap TED 1001 House Power Monitors (and possible hacking)

That's basically what I did with my old TED to get it running. The filter is like a firewall, blocking the X-10s and noise from CLFs and Etc. From jamming the MTU transmissions. My clean TED line runs up to the display (1001 RDU).   No collision Avoidance? Maybe a little bit.. I have two heat...

    colouring WC intedfaces

I am trying to learn about Greasemonkey scripts. Not sure what I can do with them. I was thinking maybe I could use Firefox to view my CAI webpage with  reformatted temperatures, with my text beside each temperature reading.. Like, Living Room, 68.6F & etc..  Is that even possible to do with a...
