1-wire wire length?

I would like to move my HB solar sensor and AAG V3 wind instrument to a new location. It would require about 150' of Cat5 cable. I am supplying 12vdc to the solar sensor but no external power to the AAG wind. I am using a daisy-chain topology.

Will this work? Will I have to supply external power to the AAG Wind? Thanks.

Bill,

Adding 150' of cable shouldn't be any problem.

You don't need to supply external power to the Wind Instrument because it only supplies power to the temperature sensor. Just make sure it is at the end of the daisy chain since it won't pass the 12v through.
