16/2 or 18/2 "Zip Cord"

Looking for suggestions for either 16/2 or 18/2 zip cord. Want to run this in wall to power touch panels or other devices off of DC - so I expect I will need a jacket on it. I looked over at tselectronic.com specifically at belden and couldn't find anything. Not sure if I am using the wrongs terms.

Any recommendations?

In general, is using 16 AWG speaker wire "safe" or a "good idea" for DC current to drive a touchscreen or similar device?
Yup. As long as the wire size is sufficient for the current you want to carry and the insulation is the right type (in-wall rated, in your case), then it doesn't matter if you call it speaker wire or stupid wire (unless you are an audiophile and your speaker wire must be aimed in the right direction and manufactured when the moon is in the proper phase and only touched by Monks).

I use 14awg speaker wire (jacketed from monoprice) to drive my kitchen touch screen. On my 1537L elo screen the power cable is that sort of cable in a cable, and its pretty high gauge so even the 14awg is a bit overkill.
