2-wire IR receiver

I only used two strand wire for my Xantech IR receivers and just realized they have three wires. Any chance I could get by with two?

It's just a thought but perhaps you could power it locally and not have to use one of the conductors for power?

There are some blocks that allow the power to be local, so you could get away with what is suggested.

As for which blocks, I cant give any specifics, but have a look through some of the major IR players (If Xantech don't have one then I probably saw one within the channel vision range).

Failing that, make a cable yourself. The third wire is only power
