Check out this deal at Amazon: link

Cameras included are BL-C30A

Marketed as a pet cam so not top quality but great price. Got a set to test out and am sure I can unload them for what I paid if I am not satisfied.

Haven't been able to find any actual images from a cam on the web. Anyone have one?

Where did you see that the cameras included were BL-C30s? I couldn't find that in the description. It looks like a good deal except I have never thought of an application for interior cameras. I like to see what is happening outside but I get a little paranoid at the idea of anybody looking in.

If you click on "camera features" from http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-electro...5702#tabsection it leads you to the BL-C30A page. I realize the URL isn't for the exact model at the Amazon page. But I think the only two cameras that match the Amazon picture would be the BL-C30A or the BL-C131A. I use my BL-10A outdoors (under patio) with no problems, but we go below the 41 degree F rating about as often as you would go above it :)

Also states in the review that the cams are BL-C30A. I will also probably be using one or two in covered outdoor applications. My main draw to this deal is the pan/tilt feature. Right now i have wired stationary cams.

There is an in-wall mount available for a similar model camera here so I wonder if these cameras would fit inside it?

As far as the interior camera thing, I plan to only activate interior cameras when the house is empty.

I actually made my own enclosure for my BL-10A camera, another cooner posted a link one day. I cold powt images if you are interested, but basically it is a 4x4 metal box with a blank plastic duplex (i think) cover and a hole carefully cut into the cover for the pan-tilt mechanism.

Sure post some photos. Also some photos taken by the camera would be interesting to see the quality. Thanks.

i support that model on my app and have a free demo to test them out against on blackberry if anyone may be interested. check the website for details.

Something to keep in mind, these cameras, last I checked, do not support WPA encryption, only WEP. WEP is a very weak encryption and should not be used in most cases. Even if your other wireless items are WPA, they will default to the lowest required encryption in your network, WEP in this case.

You are right:

WIRELESS FEATURES: .
Wireless Technology IEEE802.11b/g
Frequency 2.4000 - 2.4835 GHz
Number of Channels 11 channels
Transmission Speed up to 54Mbps
Security WEP(40/128bit), SSID

Yeah that is a good point. Although I don't really expect someone to hack into my webcams from wifi range just to prove that I am not home before they break in. As far as keeping other devices on WPA, running a separate access point on WEP would fix that. Also these have a wired interface so you can use them that way.

Certainly there are workarounds by having separate access points. Just wanted to point out the lack of WPA security.

WPA is no longer secure either, although the capabilities for breaking WPA are fewer than WEP.
