45A00-1 Installation questions

I've read the manual for installation and it sounds very plug n play.

Some info prior to installation relating to what I have but not totally installed yet. Not sure yet on the expansion "plan"

I currently have two keypad consoles installed and plan on installing two first gen touch screen keypads to the mix (total of 4). The touchcreens to expand on the 4 Russound KPL keypads for the Russound CAS44 control. I have filled the first expansion module and have a second one but not installed it yet.

I have purchased both the 45A00-1 and the 42A00-2 wireless receivers. I plan on added a "few" different wireless devices but will mostly depend on my "wired" to the panel setup. Additionally have an X10, UPB and Z-Wave controller plugged into the panel at this time.

Questions:

1 - My panel is in the basement of my two story home. I have the means to put both (or one) wireless receiver either in the attic, 2nd floor or first floor. Not sure of best placement for best coverage. (I have a second 45A00-1 if I need it). Main floor of the home is brick and 2nd floor is frame. I currently "test" my sprinkler system zones outside by using a wireless X10 keypad and would like to maybe switch over to new wireless. House sits on approximately 3/4-1 acre lot with sprinkler zones adjacent to home and on periferals of property. I also purchased a Cartell system (one) and it looks like I would need two to cover my driveway. I have a concern on one side of the driveway relating to trenching and sidewalks. So now entertaining wireless means using HAI wireless driveway sensor. (for drive motion sensing I am currently using an Optex combo security camera and one outdoor motion PIR). In additon trigger motion with security video motion detection. For house owned automobiles using RF-ID's.

2 - Will I be limited by power draw to console connections? If I connect 2 regular keypads, 2 touchscreen first gen keypads, 2 45A00-1 and 1 42A00-2 to the OPII?

3 - alarm triggering will be based only on the wired connections and wanting to utilize wireless for status reporting only.

4 - Is anyone on the forum doing similiar? If so have you had any issues?

A comment on number 2, you cannot have more than 2x wireless receivers on a OmniProII (2x 45A00-1 or 2x 42A00-2 or 1 of each).

Thank-you for the info Barry.

Interesting that I purchased the three wireless receivers as a set with the assumption that they were plugged into one OPII. Will test them today.

After you've set these up, I'd be curious to hear how the performance of the two receivers are compared to each other. I'm not real happy with the delays in reporting for my HAI 45A00-1.
