I have several 75A00-1 card readers on my Omni 2 system. They have been working flawlessly for about 15 years.
Then, a few days ago I noticed one was beeping/flashing red twice a second. It never stops. Power cycling had no effect.
I discovered by accident that if I hold a card to it for 5 seconds it will stop beeping. Then, the next time you use it to open the door, the beeping starts again.
There is nothing in my documentation that mentions this and there is nothing configurable on it, as far as I can tell.
I tried refreshing the entire program on the Omni last night too, but that accomplished nothing.
