Another 5.7e question: temperature sensors

One other thing I've noticed with my 5.7e and the default screens (I don't have Automation Studio yet). On the console, if I select STATUS and then TEMPS, and then page through the screens, I can see the status of both thermostats and the outdoor ER temp sensor. On the 5.7e, if I press the Temperatures button, I see both of the thermostats, but not the temp sensor. Is this the intended behavior?

Did you assign a zone name to the outdoor ER temp sensor? Must have a zone name for the 5.7e to pick it up. When it displays on the 5.7e, the text in the zone description is what shows up on the screen (not the zone name).
Also, be sure to set the zone type to ER Outdoor Temp

I just checked to make sure... the zone is named "Outdoor Temp" and the type is set to ER Outdoor Temp. I can see it on the console and in PC Access.

You also need a zone description as well as a zone name. The description (not name) is what shows up on the 5.7e.

If this does not fix it, I suspect you need Automation Studio to make it work. Not sure on that point. I have AS and every time I edit my PCAccess file, I must use AS to do a 5.7e update to link the 5.7e to the current PCAccess file or the 5.7e will not reflect settings in PCAccess.

Might as well bite the bullet ($$$$) and get AS. It opens up a whole new world of stuff you can do on the 5.7e.
