Any Homeseer 3 - HAI users out there?

Curious if there are any Homeseer 3 HAI users here?

Reason I ask is because I am testing a new Homeseer 3 plugin which runs in Linux and is running standalone connecting to the HAI OPII panel and curious if anyone is interested in testing this plugin?

I upgraded to HS3 Pro when they had the 50% off sale, but haven't physically installed it yet.  Hopefully, will get around to doing a rebuild on the HS computer this weekend.  Afterwards I might be in a position to assist.

Thank you jlehnert!

The base plugin will run by itself or on the Homeseer box on Wintel or Linux once you have set up your HS3Pro box.

Sorry, life got in the way over the weekend, and I didn't get a chance to work on the HS computer.  The rack mount case is sitting in the middle of the kitchen table, so hopefully I'll get to it in the next few days.

On a separate note, I believe I've seen that you're running a multiple unit Russound system connected to both the OPII, and HS.  True?  If so, are you connecting the OPII to the com port of one unit, and HS to the com port of the other?  The Russound manuals are a little vague on running multiple unit systems.

Yes.  I found the device here a while ago.  It's a miniature terminal server.  Russound control today is via Russound keypads, Omnitouch screens and Homeseer HSTouch screen.  It's been years.  I have to look as I don't recall the name or mfg of the device.  The device/mfg posts are here somewhere on the forum.  Tiny thing; looks like an oversized RS-232 plug.

I have done my zoned audio a bit differently and have some 4-5 subzones.  IE: master bedroom is two subzones with a MM receiver and 5.1 sound but 2 + 2 speakers are part of the Russound zoned stuff and the bathroom is another subzone of the master bedroom; if that makes any sense?

The HS3 HAI plugin right now is at one piece of functionality.  Very basic.  Just alarm control and writing to mysql db; nothing else right now.  That said you can test how fast it works via the HS3 GUI or maybe try HS3 HSTouch.

I have played with HS3 HSTouch but mostly wanting to migrate much of the functions over to Linux HSTouch.   I have built a little tabletop touchscreen which will run HSTouch, Squeezebox Player or XBMC.  I can now though inlay live streaming TV video inside of an HSTouch screen or play it on the XBMC software.  I have also migrated these tabletops to POE but only at 100Mb.  Looking more to connect them at Gb and Poe in the near future.

This is more experimenting right now rather that functional use.  I can also multiboot the tabletop touchscreen to Android, Linux or Windows.  Currently using an almost embedded XP on the screens which works well with TTS via speaker dot exe and runs HSTouch for windows well in a compact 3 Gb wintel base.  Experimenting though now with a 24-32 Gb SSD play space.

Just to let you know I haven't given up or disappeared.  I got transferred to a new location, so now I'm doing a 130 mile round trip each day.  Combine that with some travel, a 10 day bout with the flu, the start of a class, and it's not been a great month. The good news is the new HS machine is mostly ready.  I'll load the OS tomorrow, 100 gigabytes of MS patches, then hopefully will be ready for Homeseer.

130 miles is a bit of a commute.  Personally never had a flu shot until this winter (stubborn me).

Yeah; here still tinkering some with HS3 running little bits of it at a time; scripts or plugins.

Yup you can test the HAI plugin on Wintel or Linux by itself talking to HS3.  It's single functioning now (alarm on or off) and it is quick.

Playing a bit with a "lite" Windows 8.1 (3.5 Gb build) on a tabletop touch tablet running TTS, HSTouch and Speaker dot exe.  The OS is pure tablet and works OK.

The legacy (in use) XP & almost E tabletop tablet is more of a modded combo of MS tablet and MS media center with a bit of this and that and still at around 2-3 Gb.

Concurrently playing with a Linux Ubuntu 12.10 and 13.X "lite" only for HSTouch build.  (only EFI though right now).

That and the mix of playing with an EFI boot versus an '86 style booting thing is difficult to get used to.
