Anyone regret leaving SageTV/local DVR?

I just converted all my DVDs & BRs into MKV files, so they're now playable via my Roku through Plex. That software is incredible, I can even stream them to my Android or iOS devices. We ditched DirecTV, and at this point literally the only OTA show we watch via SageTV is Downton Abbey, which may have just ended. (wife watches it, I have no desire to watch annoying rich people who move dreadfully slow). I use a Roku to stream Hulu Plus, Amazon Instant Video, or Netflix for my regular video needs. I have an MLS subscription (no EPL streaming), no other video entertainment needs.

Looks like the HD200's are still getting a decent amount. I have 2, plus 1 working HD100 and 1 capacitor issue. I have an HD300 which may have stopped working, not sure.

Anyone who's left SageTV or other local DVR have any regrets? I suppose I could sell all but one HD200 as a hedge.

I got fed up with sage shortly before they sold out*. It all kinda fell apart for me. I couln't ever get it to 'just work' regarding pvr. And I'll admit some issues were hardware related, but I really never looked back after I locked back into contract with dish. I left the sage boxes in place for a year before realizing that we didn't use them at all, and then finally took them down. I had some good times with it, but this endeavor hurt me big time in the WAF approval dept. These days I have movies on my phone, tablet, tv has built in amazon on demand, vudu, and netflix, my ps3 has a host of providers, my xbox has a host of providers, I got ppv and dish movies, etc... My point being they stopped standing out of the crowd a while ago for me. That being said I am getting back into my media pc, with a whole new server rebuild, and using xbmc as the front end. Is it really downton? I've been saying downtown.
*[rbf]sell out, with me oh yeah, sell out with me tonight. the google companies gonna give me lots of money and everything's gonna be all right. [/rbf]

yep, downton. For me, SageTV has been rock-solid, had huge WAF. I went with HD200's for that reason. Wife was shocked when I showed her the DVDs/BR through Roku, she said basically "wait, so you're getting RID of sage?!?"

Until I pointed out that if we don't need those boxes, we could sell them for a few hundred.

Alas, the potential of future OTA trapped is what paralyzes us. Its all available via HuluPlus of course, but its a big culture shift.

I am hanging on to my SageTV install as long as I can.  There just isn't anything else out there.  I did get rid of my 2nd set top box dedicated to SageTV, I use it mostly to play back stored/downloaded media and record OTA.  I have tried several times to migrate away from it, but I guess I'm going down with the ship :(

Roku & Plex plays back all my downloaded or ripped media just fine. And can even stream to my Android or iOS devices, even over 3G if I'm traveling.

The only thing it can't do is OTA. I'm not sure that's a real issue, though. No live news or sports but I can live with online news sites.
