** Anyone running M1G on Firmware v5.2.8?

Smooth as silk on the latest release.
Just upgrade already.....
On a serious note. The only time I have ever had issues with upgrading firmware was when I tried to go backwards on an XEP. Didn't work well and it had to go back to Elk....I don't know of any bugs on 5.2.10 and I would think you would be good to go...
At home I can't remember that last time I was on a UL rated firmware. You'd be waiting forever for fixed if you wanted to stay UL rated. My guess is that even if the firmware was UL, there is probably some minute thing with the install that wouldn't be UL. I am in no way commenting on your install. Staying UL compliant get pretty specific and there are things that can be done that are safe and legal but not UL.

XEP's aren't downgradable, it's in big ugly bold letters everywhere in the firmware, but I've never had an issue with any of the later XEP firmwares.
In the case of the Navigator and the M1, a lot has to do with the products basically being re-engineered/branded Ness products. What comes out overseas takes a while to get through UL and from what I remember hearing, Elk doesn't put a huge effort in remaining compliant or up to date (look at their list of supported 2 wire detectors and their explanation on 4 wire units...compared to their contemparies).
