AppleTV + Indigo?

Anyone else thinking of picking up an AppleTV and running indigo on it?

1. Install full OSX on AppleTV via www.appletvhacks.net
2. Install Indigo
3. Setup itunes media server
4. Control over web

Not bad for under $500

Neat idea! It will be interesting to see how things shake out in the next few weeks with the AppleTV. Is Indigo available in Universal Binary? What about the Serial Bridge driver? From what I have read so far programs that are not UB can run very slow.

Yes, Indigo 2.0 is in Universal Binary. I am not sure about Serial Bridge. More info about Indigo 2.0 here.

Keep in mind 2.0 is a client server application so you could run the server on a MAC Mini and run the client only on the Apple TV. Or just use Safari to access the control pages. It would be really nice if Apple would allow integration with the Apple TV directly.

Any idea what uses less power, Apple TV or a intel based Mac mini?

I would think AppleTV, when considering the new mac minis at least. But the more impressive spec is that it is half the price. Oh and built in wireless.
