Area 2 Questions (M1G)

My goal is to setup a separate set of contacts that would only be armed during away mode. These zones would be on "high target" areas - master bedroom dresser, closets, etc. All of this currently is working well as area 2 which is armed via rules with area 1. The zones are set as 03=burglar perimeter instant.

There are, however, a couple quirks that I'm wondering about:

1. When I arm at the keypad the voice will announce area 1 is armed - when I disarm the voice will announce area 2 is disarmed. Nothing about either zone any other time.

2. The zones for area 2 are configured as bypassable and NOT force armable. However, if I arm area 1 away (which arms area2) while a zone is not secure, then secure it after the exit delay, it will become active and can trigger the alarm. I thought only a force armable zone could do that?

Any particular reason you didn't just assign those contacts to burglar interior? Those are only used when armed away... for motions, interior doors, etc.

The force-arm is because you're arming the zone via rules. It'd fail to arm if you tried to arm it directly with those zones violated, but because you're arming via a rule, it does the best it can.

Yes. I use keyfobs to arm and have logic in the rules to chirp the exterior siren if any zones are violated when arming - otherwise it still arms, but bypasses those zones. Basically, a notifier that a window/door was left open before I get in the car and leave. So, I wouldn't want this for, say, a closet that was left open.

Makes sense and follows what I've seen with the rules from above except I figured it was just bypassed and not also made force armable since it wasn't marked as such.
