While ELK supports the older VRC0P via the VIZIA firmware on the M1XSP serial port module, adding support for the newer VRC0P has been more difficult since it offers many new features. In order to provide a better integration between some of these new features with the ELK M1 (such as Z-Wave door locks), ELK announced it is releasing a dedicated Z-Wave interface (ELK-M1XSLZW) to interface the new VRC0P. The module will be available later this year.
