My first thought was why automate a toilet....
but then I realized the potential
Having young kids, one being a boy of four who never flushes the toilet, this would be a very handy addition in conjunction to a motion/occupancy sensor in the toilet.
Now I need something to automate the washing of his hands and of course aim for him (boys will be boys)

thanks for posting this deal. it just so happens that I was looking for this exact item. I'm toilet training my cats and getting them to flush would be really difficult.

That is just gibing in. They need to be taught that they have hands and that putting down the seat is easy to do. Why should us men have to double handle the seat. Why don't we ask them to leave it up when they are finished.
If you really want a fight, just pee all over the seat - then you will know you are alive!!!!

I purchased one,
The build quality is OK.
Its basically a big plastic box that hangs inside the toilet water bowl that holds 4 d batteries. The unit has a remote eye in a fake (real looking) chrome replacement handle that is triggered by seeing you sit on the thrown. It must see you for a min of 5-7 seconds to set it off Then if you get up it will auto flush. The mechanics of it are a simple rotating plastic wheel that lifts a lever pulling the chain on the flapper valve up like the regular toilet handle would on a non automated toilet. The new handle also has a micro switch that you can allows you to manually flush by turning it similar to the normal toilet handle
All things considered its cute and so far it works but I am not too sure I would but one in my main/public washroom. Benig battery powered only the chance of dead batteries and a full bowl mean you would have to lift the lid to flush and then replace the batteries ,that thought is not too appealing in the presence of guests.
I installed mine in our master bathroom and it is mainly used by my wife. She thinks its great and loves to show it off to friends. Makes for some funny conversations and wise cracks.
