Hi,
Once again, I am having trouble getting Axis equipment to work on my network. What I have is a Netgear WRN3500 router. I have had this working in the past, but with hours of trying to get it going. I have an older Axis 2400 video server and newer Axis 216FD cameras. I just can't seem to get them going. If I run the axis utility, I can assign an IP with no problem. After that, Sometimes I can access the device but most times I cannot and have to keep repeating the process many times with different IP's. When I can't access the devices, I can ping them and get a reply. If I power them down and ping them again, I get no reply as expected. The few times I have gotten a device to work, I gave it a port number and port forwarded my router. I then try to test from my iPhone with no connection. If I go to my routers log, I can see my iPhone's attempt to access the router.
I have Ekey on my phone and I am port forwarded for my M1 and that works perfect. Does anybody have any suggestions?? I'm getting very frustrated :nutz: I spent 7 hours on Sunday and many hours last week with no success :angry2: .
Like I said, this was working fine for quite a long time with the only change to everything was a reset to the router. Any suggestions would be helpful. Is the router I have just not a good router? I can get a new one no problem, if so, what would be the best one?
Here is what I have connected(network components)in my network.
1. Cable Router
2. Netgear WRN3500
3. Netgear GS108T 8 Port Switch
4. Linksys WAP54G Access Point
Thanks for any advice,
Mike
