Bosch motion going out of adjustment?

I calculated all my loads on the panel based worst case/ alarm current, from the specs on the cut sheets of each device. The only items I had trouble calculating are the water leak detectors GRI 2600 and 2800s. I did a test and could see little to know additional load when in alarm mode. But those are not on the control; they are on the P212s.

Changing the base was the next thing to try, though i don't see how the base would go bad. it is pretty simple.

Now something that i just noticed, another motion on first floor is having a similar problem with the LED. Again, I have not touched this unit since i installed it and it has been working fine. LED does not come on, but the motions are working and reporting back to control when motion is detected.

On the kitchen motion, i tried switching the LED of and on thinking it could be issue with switch not contacting properly, but LED is still not working. If I have time, I can try calling Bosch.

Been a while, but with the older DS motions, like the original 820's and 835's (big units) they used to do a 3 flash if one of the technologies failed. Not sure if the new units do the same.

In the case of the blue lines, they slide and have a basic printed circuit board if I remember off the top of my head...could be a loose or intermittent, though it's starting to look more like a power or detector issue, possibly related to the navigator....

Have you pulled the navigator to see if that affects the panel?

Yes, disconnect. The panel will complain it's missing and it'll slow down the data bus (polling for a missing module) but if you want to eliminate that, just run an enrollment after you remove it.

Don't forget, the M1, while a great panel, is very power limited.....1A doesn't go too far.

Ok. I will give it a try. I agree that 1A is really too little and kind of surprising. You run out really fast, especially when you start adding ELK components.

True, in my case, 90% of the systems I install have some sort of power supply, if not multiples, so maybe I'm just used to the topology and limitations compared to others that view a single box being installed.

I finally got back to this... The motion had gotten ridiculously lazy (not detecting motion) and the LED was not working anymore. I went up to the motion, and partially slipped it off and the LED immediately started working. So i took off and reinstalled a few times. also checked all my terminals and wiring was properly secured. changed the motion to non pet mode to give extra sensitivity, and adjusted the sensitivity as well. Not they are working great again, LED functioning properly. This seemed to have happened on two motions. As anyone else had this issue?

I have not yet gotten to disconnect the KPNAV, but I don't think it is the culprit.
