camera problem with scrolling up line

I have two cameras that display a scrolling line. One does it only during night vision and it shows a big fuzzy horizontal line that goes up. The image itself doesn't scroll.

Then I noticed today that another camera now has a very light horizontal shadow line scrolling up. Looking back at the recorded images, it was happening last night and it was very light. This morning it was not happening when the sun was providing ample lighting.

Sounds like it happens when the IR gets activated. Any idea about why it is happening? Is there a common technical name for that problem?

What kind of wiring are you using? Are you using distributed power? Does the video wire run along high voltage wire?

I am using cctv cables that has power along side that I purchased from aartech (http://www.aartech.ca/cb-cctv-075-cctv-video-power-cable-75-foot.html). Each camera has its own provided power supply.

The fact that it only happens when the IR is on makes me think it is power related. Double check all of your connections for corrosion and tightness and also try a different power source.

Recap: 2 Gadspot GS273C camera with each a power supply 12 1.5a. 1 Microseven camera with a 12v 800ma camera.

I tried the power supply from the second GS273c camera (that had no problem), on the Microseven camera with the worst problem and it solved the problem.

My first GS273C camera with a very light line has the same kind of power supply 1.5a. So I tried the other gadspot PS but the line still shows yet very faint.

So for my Microseven camera, I tried a 12v 2a power supply I had and it started scrolling again. So was it not enough power or faulty power supply.

At least it is not camera related for the Microseven.
