Can ElkRM run on an Apple Mac?

Isn't it really true that Elk works in Windows and Windows-only? And only ElkRP and ElkRM work in Windows (and not Wine under Linux/Mac)?
Surely, there are users out there who can't afford Windows (including me). Sorry, but I started to hate Microsoft because of monopoly (the big reason for that is price--I can't afford Vista Home Basic or XP Home).
I don't mean to go a bit off-topic, though. It'd be nice if Elk could use cross-platform programs/tools, like MySQL (instead of Access).

Um... Sure! I'll go ahead and buy Vista Home Premium and break my bank. However, I do love Microsoft if it weren't for monopoly...
Heck, I even have $200 in my bank account. I'll get Windows Server 2008, and my available balance will be -$800!

The reason why I want to have Windows Server 2008, is I want a server operating system with .net Framework 3.5, with ASP.net 3.5, Windows Workflow Foundation, and Windows Communication Foundation (it's more than just a web service). I like having the latest and greatest since I have Visual Studio 2008 Express Edition (Visual C# and Visual Web Developer).
Sorry, but I'm a college student and that I don't earn that much from my social security income (I'm visually impaired) + my funds from my mom and Division of Blind Services.

That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
If you can afford to be running a server, than you could certainly afford to be running an end user operating system on your daily machine.
If you meant that you with that you would pay for a server O/S for your daily machine... that is plain dumb.
If you are a student as you claim, then you could easily take advantage of the student discount program.

With just a little bit of work to meet the requirements you can be eligable for the Microsoft Action Pack which gives you access to almost all of their software. It may have changed, but I think the cost is only $299 and you would have access to all the server and client OSs as well as a bunch of other stuff.
It's like a scaled down version of the MSDN program...
