Centralite Jetstream with Omni Pro II

But the negatives are you have a blank plate (ugly/low waf) or just a dummy switch. And in either case of a dummy switch or a remote button, that may be fine for you but will be confusing to guests.
I have a lot of three and four gang switch locations in my house so even without JetStream it was confusing. With JetStream, I can label each button which makes it easier for guests. (I guess I could stick labels on regular switches, but that is not very elegant.)

As for WAF, from more than a few feet away, a blank insert looks about the same as a switch. They are both pretty flat.

Thanks for checking up on progress, although it is disappointing.
Yup, thanks for keeping up with this... hopefully the 3 switches I ordered will arrive today or tomorrow so will be able to see what the buttons are really like and how they contrast with the 3 ALC switches already installed (although soon to be removed and put on the block along with the other 20 ALC switches I have). I kinda liked the feel of the ALC switches, although it took a little getting used to. They're quite soft to the touch so feel a bit 'flimsy' compared to a normal switch, so maybe Jetstream requiring more pressure will be a good thing for me.

I've just installed a few of the JS switches. The look is great, but I would describe their feel as "just OK". It takes more effort to push them and get the lights to turn on/off. There is at times a false sense of the button being pressed - it feels like it should have worked but it did not, so you have to press it again. I had my wife give them a try and she pushed a few times and nothing happened... so it is concerning to me that there has not been more activity from Centralite on this front.

It seems I/We are in the minority on this. The problem, which you will see if you pull the button and bezel off is that its all plastic. The 'plunger' which presses on the tact switch is all plastic, so all you feel is the pressure of the plastic and not the click of the tact switch. The design I recoimmended and supposedly they were working on would be more like the SAI faceplates where the button was kind of free flowing on a light spring so when you press it you feel the click of the tact switch.

I got a couple of switches today (one 3-button and one single button) and installed them easily. I actually quite like how they feel - especially in comparison to the few ALC switches I installed (those seem to be quite soft and flimsy). My wife likes them better than the ALC switches too so I think my decision has been made... Jetstream it is... I'll be putting the 20 or so ALC switches on the Classifieds in the next few days.

I rediscovered this thread while searching for some other information. So here is the update. Centralite produced the new bezels and they work great. Much better feel than the original. Even though it was a pain to replace all my buttons, Centralite has been great about customer service. I still love the Jetstream. Just wish more people knew about it.

How did you go about getting new bezels?

Thanks,

Call Centralite tech support. 877-466-5483. You'll probably talk to Anthony who is a good guy. Tell him how many switches you have, what kind and what color. He'll send them to you. IMO You should replace all of them, even if they're working for now.

I guess that's why I always recommend to people to try something before they buy alot of it - everyone's perception is different. I personally have not found the new bezels to be much better. IMHO I was disappointed after waiting so long and being underwhelmed.
