Change chime sound on Elk M1?

In a previous house the alarm system chime was a simple and friendly 'beep beep beep' sound (for opened doors etc.). With the Elk, it kind of reminds me of something I would hear walking into a gas station...it's not horrible but it's more abrasive than the previous sound I was used to.

So is there any way I can change the sound of the chime? I've been looking into the programmable voice module (which I can also use for other things) but I just wanted to check to see if I can change the chime and delay the purchase.

With that said, I don't think the programmable voice module would change the keypad tone but at least I could play the sound over the speakers using a rule and disable chime all together.

Thanks!

You can also use the voice function and have it announce that. I want to say I remember seeing something in menu 8:3

That's exactly why I bought the Elk124 Recordable voice module - and I've had even more fun with it since; but yeah, using that with rules I can define slightly different chimes for front door and back door without needing voices.

Thanks for the responses! I like the idea of different sounds plus the flexibility of adding new sounds so I'm going to order the sound module (plus computer interface). I was going to order it anyway to have more flexibility so it works out!

Thanks again!

Just some other fun I've had with it:
Custom Doorbell (primary function) - experimented with Jetson's doorbell, some other random sounds, before finally settling down with a well-done Westminster chime.

During halloween, I use a custom doorbell - a cackling witch or howling wolf... and as the door is opened, it flips between a couple different creepy sounds (there's a speaker by the door so it's a good effect).

When people are housesitting I can trigger a creepy sound to mess with them.

When the wife leaves her phone in her car and I need to reach her, I can play a "Answer your damn phone!" sound.

And with a relay on the speaker in the master bedroom, the wife can quiet everything while she's sleeping during the day so nobody bothers her.
