Just to let everyone know, we are changing servers tomorrow. Our current server is venerable, about 10 years old at this point or so. We are moving to a shiny new one, and took the opportunity to update everything from OS to forum software.
This will require changing our DNS entries from the old server to the new. So, for a while after that, some folks might have some access problems until those changes propagate outwards.
Of course there's always a chance we could run into some problem that holds up the transition mid-point, which could stretch it out. But it's unlikely since this is a completely new system and we've already set it up in parallel and tested it out. It just requires going back through the forum software installation again, importing the latest forum database contents from the old machine, and then switch some configuration on a few programs.
Anyway, just in case some folks had troubles tomorrow, I wanted to drop some clues in other places that they might see them.
