Hi,
Here is my situation, I have a couple of speakers mounted on the far side of my pool(Awsum sound even with a 400' cable run). I am looking for the best way to control my stereo from the pool area. Last year I ran a temp. wire and used Xantech. It worked ok. Over the winter, I started storing music in itunes on my pc. I have an iPhone that controls plenty now, So I am thinking of using that to connect to my pc and control the music. I figure I can take the audio out of the pc and run it into my amp and use software on my pc to control the music selection and volume. Then install software on my iPhone to control the pc via my wlan. Does this make any sense
As a test I tried VNC, way to slow. Anybody have any sugestions on what direction I should start with this. I have plenty of spare room in my conduits to the pool area, So installing Xantach is not out of the question(how would I control my pc then?)
Thanks,
Mike
