A ano Senior Member Aug 21, 2018 #2 Welcome. Yes you certainly could. There many ways to do this. The cheap way is to build one yourself out of a CdS sensor. Here are some examples: http://www.bristolwatch.com/ele/pd.html You might have to experiment a bit to get it to trigger at the light level you want. Just hook this to a spare zone. Best if you can use a small relay to connect to the zone. You can also buy ICs just for ambient light sensing. Like this: https://www.digikey.com/en/articles/techzone/2014/feb/ambient-light-sensors-mimic-the-human-eye You can also buy these sensors already made then just connect that to a zone. Something like this: https://www.ebay.com/p/Photosensitive-Resistance-Relay-Control-Module-light-operated-Switch-Dc12v/857992540 I just bought the eBay one. Can't beat the price, and I want to do the same thing as you.
