Cool list of 'geeky' home theaters!

From a "performance" perspective, I'd be seriously concerned about any of those other than the "Bat Cave". That enterprise one, although very cool, is far too bright on the sides, and would reflect way too much light from movie scenes that are supposed to be dark.

I was only able to convince my wife to paint the wall behind the plasma dark red myself, she forced me to leave all the other walls white. Bugs the crap out of me when we watch movies, but at least she let me buy the plasma...

Couldn't agree more, but I guess it's more about showing off the room than actually using it.

Not sure if it's cool or sad to say, but I think there's better 'geeky' homes and home theater setups from users on this board!

You are right Snypez. The best performing theaters will probably look the most boring for good reasons.

The Enterprise is one of my favorites, but it's too much of a theme for me when it comes to building a house of my dreams *giggles*... I'd probably want to build one with dark walls and plain-looking ceiling but just to make it look sleek and modern. Plus, sound/video performance is my top-priority to me, with deepest blacks and whitest whites for the video.

Anyway, I really love the looks of "theme theaters."

If I had to pick one it would be the bat cave. I've always been facinated with caverns and caves. It would only be cool to me if it were built in a real cavern though.
