You can go to the forum and there's an announcement there in the announcement areas at the top. There's nothing special in terms of purchasing. Basically it's a 'step up' sale. So you buy a Bronze system and get a Silver, buy a Silver and get a Gold, etc... So just purchase any tier and you get the next one up.
I have been a long time CQC user and while I don't participate as much on the forums anymore, I still rely on the CQC system everyday. I just wanted to say that CQC is better than ever. Dean has continued to impress me with his advances in what CQC can do. Every time I turn around it seems that Dean has added some new and great feature. Now Dean is trying to figure out a way to integrate intercoms into the system (which is likely going to be some SIP solution that could include audio and video). No guarantee that he'll be able to do that, but I wanted to share with you the type of things Dean is thinking of and trying to add to the system.
I realize deciding on an automation solution is a big deal. Not only can they cost a lot of money, but then you are married to that system. Let me say that CQC has been a wonderful addition to my household and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone considering an automation solution.
So if you are on the fence, go ahead and take advantage of the sale while it lasts. You won't be disappointed!
For UPB lighting with CQC, how do you measure devices? If I have 40 upb dimmers is do I need to buy a diamond level or is it just 1 device being UPB lighting, since it uses the computer controller?

For all of those types of 'composite' devices where there's a thing CQC talks to and that thing talks to all of the bits, that's only one driver. So Z-Wave, UPB, Elk, Omni, Insteon, C-Bus, etc... Those are all one driver. Similarly for those where multiple things are on a single RS-232 bus, like Aprilaire or Tekmar thermostats.
