Delayed response elk navigator

I have just completed a new install of Elk m1 gold with 2 keypads. One keypad is the new Navigator touch screen model. This new keypad appears to work fine except for a substantial time delay for a response when touching the buttons for basic functions (like arming the system). After touching the arm button it will take 30 seconds before the screen shows that something is happening. I have upgraded the panel to the latest firmware. Is the normal? If not what next? (my other keypad is m1kp2 and response at that keypad is instantaneous)

Reenroll bus devices?
I took your advice and tried this (this one is easy), but no improvement.
What addresses do you have?
I have this set as keypad 2.
Do you have errors, etc. on the bus?
No errors. One note, I set up some simple tasks and assigned them to F keys. My other Keypad F keys work, but the Navigator keypad shows "sync Required" for the F keys. I pressed the Synchronize button and after around a minute that is apparently done. But the F keys still say "Sync required".
Wiring method?
typical 4 wire security type wire (pre-existing)

Double check the firmware version you have in the M1G. It must be 5.2.8 for the Navigator to sync all the names and F keys.

Also recommend that you power cycle the entire system. Advise if any of this helps.

If you are getting long delays on keypad responses, it indicates a data bus issue. Verify that your keypads are on separate addresses. Re-enroll the devices.

Make sure you are series wiring the devices as shown in the installation manual and you have a terminating resistor at each end of the series wired RS-485 data bus.

Try moving the Navigator to the M1 control for a test. See if the response time improves. If so, there is a data bus wiring issue.

Thanks for the suggestions. I tried moving the keypad right next to the terminals on the paned using only the elk supplied pigtail for the keypad - no improvement. I tried removing the keypad, then re enrolled without it. Then re attached and enrolled - no improvement. I emailed Elk and got a lot of suggestions from Brad Weeks, but all produced the same results. Brad suggested sending it to him and he will check it for me.

I'll post the results when I hear back from Brad at Elk.

I checked the response time on a Navigator here and it responds as quick as a regular keypad. We will see what is going on. Sorry for the issue.
