Distribution panel.

Hello Everyone,
 
I want to order my Data and Phone distribution panel for my Leviton can and I wanted your input in the matter.
 
I have a choice between this two Items. Price been more or less the same.. let me know what your selection will be and why!
They are Cat 5e with the same amount of ports...

I'd go with the first set because it's a whole lot better looking and especially on the LAN, the wires terminate on the back and not the front which will make it look better and be easier to terminate and keep clean.
 
I don't normally bother with the telephone modules because I don't really care all that much about phones; if I have a POTS line it only terminates to one place in the house generally (wherever the cordless base is); but nowadays I don't do POTS at all; my only phones are ethernet based.  Before I phased POTS out of my life, I'd still terminate all the jacks the same, as ethernet - then use standard telephone cords as patch cables to a 1x8 splitter.

I feel more or less like you.
The Idea behind the phone Module is VoIP and security system.
I was thinking of adding a VoIP device to my Media Inclosure and have all my wire lines connected to it; also the security system will connect to this module.
When I calculate the cost of adding another cat5e module to terminate the phone lines it comes out just a few dollars less than this phone module.
I am also thinking if one day I sale the house the phone jacks will be standard around the house.
This module has 12 out-put modular Rj-45 jacks and 4 RJ-11 input....

I will not be using POTS in this house.
I will be using VoIP but wired to the every room.
I was thinking of terminating the cat-5e to the IDC input and distributing the data to the panel.

That's a good way to go - and for the record Ooma is an under-understood gem.  It's so much better than MagicJack or Vonage - and cheaper (since they don't spend anything in marketing!).  
 
VOIP isn't a great method for security system though - you should look at that a bit closer.
 
I would definitely terminate all your wiring in the same place - and similarly no Cat3 - do it all as Cat5/6 so it can all be fairly universal and repurposed.  Try not to do phone/data separate because those runs will be far more valuable than phone ever would be.

I used Vonage for 5 years, switched over to a cable triple play, and have now been with Ooma for 2 years. The quality is on par with what the cable company was giving me except I pay absolutely nothing for my service - I'm grandfathered in with no fees. I've recommended them to others that pay the minimum fees and they are happy as well.
