Double Hung Anderson 400 Windows

I recently had to replace two windows due to leaks and improper installation originally. I had drilled them to put recessed wireless sensors in them. I replaced them with Anderson 400 Double Hung windows.

These seem to be able to support the mounted wireless sensors, except it would be where the two panes meet in the middle (so it is visible). I'm hesitant to drill the windows and wonder how bad it is to have the sensors mounted in the middle, in such a visible location. These are for second floor windows which to have roof access.

Edit: For reference, I was referring to these wireless sensors:

Any thoughts?

I have the same windows and magnetic sensors you are using.

What I did was buy some small 1/8 magnets off of e-bay, and drill a small hole in the upper sash. Install the magnet, and cover the hole with silicone. Then use double sided tape to attach the base.

the good thing is that i installed two magnets at different heights, so that I could open the window and still have the house protected

Hope that helps
