WebLinks is a Module that allows you to create easily accessed web links within Premise Browser. The concept is similar to BookMarks, or Favorites, commonly used in web browsers. A WebLink can be an URL to an external web site, web cam or other source of browser-friendly content.

If you have used Rob Brun's WebFrames module, WebLinks is identical except it is self-contained (WebFrames relies on the presence of the ScriptTools module) and uses slightly different terminology.

Installation
 1. Using Builder, import the attached XDO file.
 2. In the Explorer window, navigate to Modules > WebLinks > Macros > Utility > CreateWebLinkFolder
 3. In the Properties window, click Trigger. A new folder, called WebLinks, will be created in Media.

Configuration
If you wish to create a few sample WebLinks in the Media/WebLinks folder, navigate to Modules > WebLinks > Macros > Utility > CreateSampleLinks and click Trigger.
 1. To create a WebLink, right-click Media > WebLinks and select New > WebLink
 2. Supply a compact "Name" and a descriptive "Display Name".
 3. Enter a complete URL in "Source".

Usage
Open Premise Browser and click Media followed by WebLinks. All of your defined WebLinks will be listed. Click a WebLink and the associated web page will be displayed within Premise Browser.

Notes
The default version of Premise Browser is designed to run at 800x600 pixels; there isn't much screen space to display the contents of a WebLink. There's more room if you have converted tp 1024x768 but most web pages will still have to be scrolled horizontally. To mitigate this limitation, use a web-site's mobile version. For example, http://news.mobile.msn.com displays the basics and leaves out the 'window-dressing'.

Most Excellent!

I am assuming that the way it is deployed is as a Media Shortcut? In any event, it solved a mystery for me as I was trying to figure out how to tie to the Surfcam at Pleasure Point (so I know whether its worth the drive!)

Sorry, my Canadian friend! B) Surf's up!
