I need to mount an ELK 8AH battery with the terminals up and on the side, not in the traditional terminals up and on the top method like in an ELK can. Any problems mounting the battery this way?
You can mount the battery any direction except upside down. The acid is held in an absorbent material against the lead plates, so there is no free acid floating around. There are over pressure vents on the top side that could burp gas if you overcharge the battery so it is best not to put the vents down.
