Elk chime while zone bypassed

So I have a button on my keypad that bypasses the Back door zone for 2minutes. It is called my "Let the Dogs Out" feature :). This works as expected expect one thing. The chime announcement when the bypassed door does not happen. I suspect this is because the Chime does not happen anytime the alarm is in the armed state. The chime works fine while the alarm is in disarmed. Is it possible to get the chime to work when in armed state?

I don't know know the answer to your actual question...but what about a rule that "speaks" when the system is armed and the door is opened, I also let my dogs out the back door. I have a rule that announces whenever the door is opened...except after 11PM (in case they have to go out after some family has gone to sleep).

Oh yeah, I am considering the Elk option to record short clips and allow them to play back. If I get it then I'll record a clip of that song "Who let the dogs out?". That'll be my back door sound!
